DEAR HUNTING FRIENDS

I trust this 29th version of the JWK Safaris newsletter finds you well, in this early season newsletter I would like to highlight from South Africa a spectacular new hunting area “Cloud Camp”, then as well as our Buffalo, Elephant and Leopard Hunting area in Zimbabwe.

CLOUD CAMP : 

The aptly named Cloud camp is hidden in the heart of the Mpumalanga province of South Africa 4 hours drive or 40 min charter flight from Johannesburg. This camp is also only 2 hours driver from the famed Kruger National Park.

Cloud camp is situated in the midst of 8000 hectares of pristine bushveld teaming with herds of Buffalo, Impala, Zebra, Blue Wildebeest, Duiker, Mountain Reedbuck, Nyala, Bushpig, Warthog, Bushbuck and Waterbuck to mention a few.

The 800 meter elevation from the top of the mountains to the riverine bush along the river holds some of the best Kudu hunting in South Africa with multiple record book bulls being taken here.

As you will know I will always mention the Buffalo hunting as it is truly exceptional as well along with all the game species. The hills and gorges host astounding numbers of Leopard which are seen frequently and heard daily.

Cloud Camp’s custodians and staff members are amazing people that truly have the property and wildlife as their focus and interest. The team is a magnificent example of what hunters do for conservation and the management of such beautiful properties. To mention the spectacular lookout points and the bush man paintings can only be done justice upon seeing them for yourself. The awe in which is felt in these special places is beyond the describing of it.

Hunting Cloud Camp is all done on fair chase practice, from the highveld grassland plains amongst Protea flowers at the top of the escarpment to the riverine bush along the river you will hunt every terrain in between. 

The Camp itself is completely run on solar power and the spring water is supplied straight from the source in the mountains. All rooms are outward facing giving each of the 5 rooms it’s own special view from the top of the hill where the camp was aptly named Cloud Camp. The dining is all done on a fresh food basis from the meals will range from venison, seafood, beef and chicken all complimented by fresh vegetables and herbs we can cater for all dietary requirements.

Enjoying a drink around the camp fire overlooking the wide open spaces, one can truly enjoy the JWK Safaris attention to detail in all our African experiences.

Cloud Camp is ideal to accommodate your whole family including children or friends that are hunting together and once you have enjoyed your hunting experience, JWK will have you whisked away to one of the lodges in the Kruger Park or Cape town locations for you to spend the remainder of your time as a guest of JWK Safaris.

HUNTING ZIMBABWE : 

We have the great pleasure of offering a truly wild and magnificently African experience in Zimbabwe with our tried and trusted guides.

Zimbabwe offers only free range/fair chase hunting with no fences at all in any of our offered concession areas. The areas we offer are concession areas that are directly adjoined, open and unfenced to National Parks that serve as feeder Parks to the hunting areas. These hunting areas are owned by either the Zimbabwean Government or the local Communities that lease the land to the local Operators whom we represent.

We are not a South African company operating in Zimbabwe, we are specialist/veteran hunting agents that books hunts for Zimbabwean Professional Hunters and Zimbabwean Operator companies that are in the same group of companies as JWK Safaris, a hunt consortium.

Our Zimbabwean concessions are fantastic for all big game hunts, these are serious hunter hunts in big game country. 

We are able to host and arrange first time hunters to Africa and veteran hunters looking for another exciting experience with JWK.

If your looking for your first Elephant, Leopard or Buffalo hunt, we are in the position to offer you what you expect from these hunts in wild Africa for you or the whole family including tours along the way to keep everybody on safari happy.

On your request we will advise as to which hunting area will be the strongest for your intended quarry along with what else will be available during your hunting safari. This ability gives JWK safari clients the best opportunity to precure their intended quarry during the time of their trip based on the time of year as each area will be dependent on factors such as availability of grazing, vegetation, prey animals and water supply etcetera these can be a major contributor to the success of your safari.

We do not sell marginal hunts JWK wants our safari clients to get what they pay for in no short measure. Each and every hunt is personally over seen by myself and tailored to fit your expectations.
